Who We Are

The Greenville Area Development Corporation is a 501(c)(3) organization founded in 2001 by Greenville County Council. We are a leader in economic development for Greenville, providing support and resources to businesses of all sizes and helping to create a vibrant and thriving business community. We act as a liaison between the business community and local government and work closely with government officials and agencies to ensure that the needs and concerns of businesses are heard and addressed.

What We Do

The GADC offers a wide range of resources to support the economic growth of the area. These resources include educational and legislative programs, strategic research tools, and business development consulting services. Our marketing efforts around the country and worldwide shine a spotlight on Greenville, SC and its pro-business environment. We collaborate with the executives of new and existing businesses, site selection consultants, community leaders, government agencies, and others to generate business, jobs, and investments within our community. The GADC is the only organization at the local level with authority to negotiate property tax incentives for new and growing companies.  Other GADC efforts include supporting infrastructure development to improve access to businesses throughout the community and enhance the region’s economic prosperity.

Our Experience

The Greenville Area Development Corporation (GADC) is dedicated to the growth and prosperity of Greenville County, South Carolina. Since our founding by Greenville County Council in 2001, we have helped to create 37,000 new jobs and more than $7.7 billion in capital investment in Greenville County. Our continued successes demonstrate our vibrant and thriving hub of economic activity, with a diverse range of industries and businesses contributing to Greenville County’s prosperity.
