GREENVILLE, SC – January 22, 2025 – The Greenville Area Development Corporation (GADC) is pleased to announce the promotion of Bryana Mistretta to the position of Director of Strategic Initiatives. In this key leadership role, Mistretta will spearhead cross-functional initiatives that fuel economic growth in Greenville County while ensuring that development efforts benefit the broader community through thoughtful, data-driven strategies.
Mistretta, who joined the GADC in 2022 as Research and Marketing Manager, will now lead high-impact cross-functional initiatives focused on workforce development, business retention and expansion, and talent attraction. Her approach to economic development emphasizes collaboration with internal teams and external partners, including local governments, businesses, and community organizations, to foster a vibrant business ecosystem that supports the needs of both new and existing industries.

A cornerstone of Mistretta’s role will be the ability to research and analyze trends in economic development, using that knowledge to inform strategic decision-making and guide the implementation of impactful projects. She will be responsible for tracking the performance of these initiatives, ensuring they align with the GADC’s broader objectives and deliver measurable outcomes that benefit Greenville’s businesses and residents alike.

Mistretta will also lead GADC’s marketing and public relations strategies, ensuring cohesive and consistent messaging that highlights Greenville as a premier business destination while engaging key stakeholders across the region. Her focus on measurable results, coupled with her commitment to collaboration, positions her to make a lasting impact on the region’s economic growth and the well-being of its residents.
Mistretta holds a Master’s in Business Administration from Clemson University and an undergraduate degree in Environmental Studies and Geography from Florida State University. Her passion for process optimization and innovative problem-solving has played a pivotal role in her contributions to the GADC, where she has already made significant strides in recruiting diverse companies and retaining a strong network of local industries.
