In 2017, Lockheed Martin relocated F-16 production from Fort Worth, Texas, to Greenville County, making us the Global Home of the F-16. The world’s most advanced fighter variant, the Block 70, is manufactured here and delivered to allied nations worldwide.
From here, Lockheed Martin is leading F-16 innovation, implementing new digital technologies and advanced mission systems in the Block 70, which accomplished first flight on Jan. 24, 2023.
The results speak for themselves: Lockheed Martin’s annual economic impact in South Carolina grew from roughly $100 million to more than $1.3 billion, supporting nearly 200 in-state suppliers. If Greenville County can support and accelerate a fighter jet production line, imagine what it can do for your operation.
